As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced sales leader focused exclusively on expanding our K-12 School Foodservice business across the United States.


Position Summary

The Director of Sales – K-12 Foodservice will lead Frontier's growth within the K-12 segment by developing relationships with school districts, foodservice management companies, distributors, purchasing cooperatives, brokers, and industry influencers. 

This role is ideal for someone who already understands school nutrition programs, regulations, bid opportunities, and the unique buying process within school food service.

The successful candidate is a relationship builder who enjoys developing business from the ground up and wants to help build one of the fastest-growing K-12 foodservice businesses.


Primary Responsibilities

● Develop and execute Frontier's national K-12 sales strategy.

● Identify and secure new business opportunities with school districts and food service operators.

● Build relationships with:

○ School Nutrition Directors

○ Purchasing Directors

○ Cooperative buying groups

○ Foodservice distributors

● Work alongside culinary and R&D teams to develop customized product solutions.

● Introduce innovative clean label, NAE and value-added protein products.

● Manage the entire sales process from prospecting through commercialization.

● Collaborate with broker partners and distributor sales teams.

● Attend industry trade shows including:

○ SNA Annual National Conference

○ State SNA Conferences

● Track sales pipeline, customer activity, forecasts, and opportunities

● Monitor competitive activity, market trends, and changing USDA school nutrition regulations.

● Work cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales Support, and R&D to ensure successful product launches.


Qualifications

● 5+ years of successful foodservice sales experience servicing the K-12 industry Preferred

● 10+ years of Director of Food & Nutrition Services of School District

○ School nutrition purchasing

○ Cooperative purchasing organizations

○ Foodservice distribution

● Proven ability to develop new business.

● Experience selling protein or center-of-the-plate products.

● Experience working with brokers.

● Knowledge of clean-label and "No Antibiotics Ever (NAE)" product programs.

● Excellent presentation and relationship-building skills.

● Bachelor's degree preferred.

● Ability to travel approximately 40–60%.
